This is absolutely off topic, but ... My students are reading 2001 (secondary school students) and we are working on a wiki. They have to do some weekly activities related to the book. They work at home. One of the activities is to upload music whic…

Hi, Holly! Maybe it's the font you used. I had a look at your slides on Slideshare and the transcript is also strange, most words are split up. I know slideshare doesn't recognize some fonts. So I think that might be the problem. It's a great way to…

Thanks for sharing that report, Tim. I had never ever thought about that. We tend to take so many things for granted. After reading the report, I thought that if an image is a visual representation of a realty, surely some abstract thinking is requi…

One monthly question is a very good idea, Sandy.

Yes, I also loved your phrase, Natasa. You always make me laugh. You're such a good writer. Do you write fiction? Carla, if you haven't read Natasa's blog, go have a look. You'll have a great time.

Dear Carla, I disappeared two weeks before the course finished. I want to say I'm sorry, not just for the sake of being polite; I AM really sorry especially for myself. So I still have lots of things to read. As I haven't really finished I cannot t…

Flickrin' visions

I went through a weird experience on Flickr this afternoon.

As I had been having a lot of activity there, I went to popular>comments to see if I had missed anything. It was shocking to see that the second stanza (sorry poets) of my poem (sorry poets) had been replaced by a different text. That text was hyperlinked to a new page... well not absolutely new since the url didn't change, just the content. The content was a series of photos with a text next to them. All the texts in the same style… Continue

Begin before the beginning

I wrote a post on this pre session activity... in Spanish!

I'm not going to write in Spanish all the time. My blog in Spanish has a wider group of readers, that's why I intend to write some posts there.

Hi Gabriela!

Sory for my terribly late reply. I was moderating two EVo sessions and I knew I woul't be able to participate as much as I would like. Therefore, I joined early, set aside time after EVo to complete the tasks, participated a little bit, listened at times and here I am. Ready to continue here as I saw you are too.
I'm very glad for that!
See you around. Besos

Hello Gabriela,

Thanks for encouraging me to join. This looks like a lot of fun. One of my colleagues just joined the course as well after I told him about it. Hopefully it will be the motivation for me to learn to use Flickr more!

Hello Gabriela,
I wanted to thank you so much for sending your page from Netvibes. It is so well done! I am taking four courses and was trying to find a way to organize all of the sites, blogs, wikis, etc for the courses as well as for the courses I teach! I used yours as a model and I can't tell you how helpful it was to put mine together. Thanks so much!

Thanks for your note about the map and the bubble. About 15 minutes after I posted the message I finally figured it out. :) Turns out the map knew exactly where Beijing was.

Hi, Gabriela,
That's really interesting! I also have the same feeling I know you. But I also can't figure out where from. Have you ever to been to Brazil? I have never been to Argentina.... Have you taken any other online course?
Anyway, I think this chance of sharing experiences will be very profitable. "See" you around.
Cheers,
Denise

Sorry, Gabriela, for taking so long in answering your question. You find it in Groups-Lounge

I thought it was a very nice way of starting to share "our windows" to the world.
Hugs, Berta
